How could I be so dumb as to take pictures of absolutely everything that happened last week, but fail to take one of the school which I attended? oh well, at least I managed to get a picture of me and some really cool pieces of equipment, not to mention the greatest film instructors I’ve ever met.

Quite frankly, I had the greatest week I could ever have. After visiting VFS I can’t imagine going anywhere else for furthering a filmmaking career, simply because… they’ve done it all. They’re not simply filmmakers and producers who got a lucky break and now they rub their so-called success on your face, telling you how it’s done. They have the experience and the proof to let you know how they did it… and that if you have the means and the ambition to do it, you can come up with a really cool result.

So, after meeting people from all over the continent, and the world, infiltrating a crime scene, making a serial killer look good, and rediscovering my affinity for coffee, I find myself over my writer’s block, and working on a new script, which hopefully will go on to be my application requirement for VFS’s full-year program next summer. With all the creative energy surrounding the city of Vancouver, it’s hard not to have it rub off on one.

The week was too short, honestly. I even think that one year might not be enough for me. There are way too many things to see and do in this great area, and the celebrations with the Film Production group came to a close way too soon. I can only hope to meet these wonderful creative people again, and work with them in a very near future.
